Meet elastin, collagen’s underrated partner
Elastin is what gives skin its “snap-back” after it stretches. Unlike collagen, the body makes very little of it and replaces it extremely slowly, so the elastin you’re born with has to last. That makes it especially vulnerable to cumulative damage, and especially valuable to protect and support.

Most elastin ingredients on the market are extracted from animal tissue. Elastapure® is made through fermentation instead, with no animal sourcing involved. Unlike other elastin products, the amino acid sequence in Elastapure® was intentionally biodesigned to support skin’s elastin, excluding peptide motifs that have been reported to work against it.
